Apple Inc. is planning to launch its over-head-ear headphones range, under which first will launch this year. The words on the streets regarding the headphones series were since the past few years. However, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted the launch by the end of 2018. But, now it is confirmed that the product will launch in first half of 2020 and it was delayed due to some changes.
According to reports, the company will release the product under the name “Apple AirPods” (X Generation) with price of $399. The product is expected to come in three different colours.
In-ear AirPods Pro by Apple costs $150 (Rs. 10,700) and the headphones would cost $399 (Rs. 28,600) which is more expensive than the Airpods. Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 and Sennheiser’s Momentum Wireless will be in tough-competition with these headphones after the launch.
The company is under the plan of action for Apple Tags (AirTags trackers) and a new low-cost 4.7-inch screen iPhone (iPhone SE-2 or iPhone 9). Hence, the headphones will not be the only Apple product which would launch this year.
