Disney’s Online Store Live In India
As of now, Disney’s online store, ShopDisney is live in India. It is currently open for orders and will serve higher than 500 cities beyond India at launch. So, Disney said with merchandise drawn from its slate of brands: Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, including Disney. ShopDisney.in offers more than 3,000 items on the launch, that includes articles of clothing, accessories, toys, and school essentials. One can also get unique Disney-designed shipping boxes or items/gifts wrapped as part of ShopDisney.in order. If orders on ShopDisney.in cross Rs. 999, one can get free shipping.
Disney India executive Sanjeet Mehta further said that with ShopDisney, their endeavor is to bring the genuine Disney licensed products to every household in the country. Inspired by Disney’s stories and characters, these products sold through ShopDisney will spread the magic of Disney. Also, he mentioned how it could be an immersive experience for both the kids and families.
ShopDisney- Not Meeting The Expectations Of People
ShopDisney covers all expectations when seen outwardly. For instance, Disney India had brought everything it sold on third-party platforms. But, in the current time of selling items by the likes of Toy Story, Superhero, Pace Sports, and Macmerise among others, Disney is not doing well. Firstly Disney is not selling the products directly to the Indian consumers. Secondly, it has brought none of the new products. People say that Disney is just acting like an aggregator.
The Indian online store is nothing how people hoped: the Indian equivalent of ShopDisney.com. For example- the action figures department does not have a sign of Disney’s Elite Series die-cast figures, instead, it only has plastic collectibles and Funko Pops. As a matter of fact, the presence of Disney’s current hottest property cannot be seen: The Mandalorians.
Although, Disney India does state that in its product line-up-“continue to grow”. People are expecting ShopDisney to grow rapidly as right now, it does not have many good reviews.
