The 2020 we will witness the launch of multiple smartwatches from major smartphone makers. Honor the major smartphone brand has recently launched its smartwatch brand named Honor Magic Watch 2.Now the Chinese smartphone giant Oppo is venturing into the smartwatch section.
In last month at the “Inno Day 2019” conference in Shenzhen, Oppo declared that it would launch smartwatches. Along with this smart wireless headphones, and 5G customer-provided devices (CPE) will also come in the first quarter of this year.
Now The Rumor has spread that the Oppo smartwatch would come with the ability to measure EGC. Oppo is not the first company to bring an ECG-measuring smartwatch. Apple has started this trend by adding feature EGC to their on the Apple Watch Series 4 that was launched in 2018. The Apple Watch Series 5, Amazfit Verge 2, and Samsung Galaxy Active 2 are also three popular smartwatch models with ECG support.
What is ECG?
The ElectroCardioGram (ECG) sensor detects electrical signals from your heart. With this, it can read your heart rate (beats per minute) and rhythm (regularity), it can even spot signs of trial fibrillation. Optical heart rate sensors that are common on smartwatches and bands only measure heart rate (and occasionally SpO2).
The smartwatch also coming to Square design, another borrowing from Apple. Oppo Vice President Shen last year suggested that a rectangular dial offered a better room for viewing content over a circular dial.
No further confirmation of the launch date of the Oppo smartphone. However, smartwatches would debut sometime in the first quarter of this year.
