SpaceX Dragon Successfully Docks WITH ISS

Elon Musk-led aerospace SpaceX has Successfully made its 19th cargo delivery to the International space station(ISS) on Sunday.

The dragon was packed with 5,700 pounds of cargo when it landed at the orbiting space hub. It involves supplies for the crew living at the space station, spacewalk and science equipment. The Dragon capsule also includes a group of genetically enhanced “mighty mice” that will support the knowledge of scientists on how to limit muscle and bone damage in humans while they’re in space.

The station chief, Italy’s Luca Parmitano, used a huge robot arm to clutch onto the Dragon three days after its launch. The research supplies will support several experiments, like a study of malting barley in microgravity to improve use on long-duration spaceflights and a study of how fireworks in space. The dragon was propelled into space Thursday from Cape Canaveral, Florida, aboard the Falcon 9 rocket. Except for SpaceX Falcon rocket, all other SpaceX resupply missions so far have performed.

SpaceX Falcon rocket collapsed on the seventh mission, in 2015. The company has contracted with NASA until 2024 for continuing resupply capsule missions. SpaceX is a private American aerospace manufacturer and space transportation services company headquartered in California. It was founded in 2002 by Elon Musk to decrease space shipping costs to permit the colonization of Mars.10 years ago individuals wouldn’t be thought that a private company can fight with government space agencies. But the passion, commitment and hard work of SpaceX’s team have exactly changed people’s thoughts.

Major accomplishments of SpaceX are in the reuse of orbital-class launch vehicles and cost minimization in the space-launch industry. SpaceX also launched new Dragon Spacecraft called Dragon2 or CrewDragon to carry passengers and crew. Having capable to carry up to seven astronauts, or some mix of crew and cargo, to and from low Earth orbit.
