A few days ago, an unannounced Huawei tablet leaked in some official-looking renders, showing a punch-hole display including a selfie camera in one corner. It had incredibly thin bezels, a keyboard accessory and a stylus magnetically attached to the tablet’s top side. As it adopts a punch-hole design, the bezels on the device are slimmer. Rumours suggested the name as Huawei MediaPad M7. But, it unbosomed to be called as Huawei MatePad Pro, and not MediaPad M7. The device is expected to have pill-shaped dual rear camera setup, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a USB Type-C port.
As far as design, stylus and keyboard support are concerned, Huawei is directly competing with Apple’s iPad Pro and Samsung Galaxy Tab S6.
However, if Huawei really wants to challenge the devices like iPad Pro and Samsung Galaxy Tab S6, it is very much important to have some elegant internal specification. It would have inclusion of kirin 990 SoC and a high-end battery life. It must also have 8GB RAM and 256 GB of internal storage memory. Size of screen is not revealed yet. The most interesting part is that, the device might support 5G.
According to past rumors, the device is internally codenamed Marx. This may be the World’s first tablet with a hole-punch screen. This is because the keyboard accessory will connect magnetically. It will be offered in black and white. MatePad Pro might launch early next year or at MWC 2020 in February.
