Microsoft Edge is dropping its old icon with a new wave surfing like icon illustrating the lowercase “e”.
The browser is based on open-source Chromium and Microsoft is working hard on the project bringing more popularity to age-old internet explorers.
Microsoft unveiled the new icon in an Easter Egg hunt event. The new logo was revealed as a part of a surfing mini-game hidden inside the latest version of Microsoft Edge. Cryptic clues to a puzzle of images finally disclose the new game and at-the-end the new logo.
To strip down browsers like Chrome, Opera and Safari, Microsoft is working on the beta version of the new browser at present and will soon officially reveal the new browser for use. It is expected from sources that in the Ignite Conference in Orlando, next week there will be some kind of announcement from Microsoft regarding the browser.
