Facebook News Planned to Launch in India, UK, Germany

Facebook is planning to expand its Facebook News section to the UK, Germany, France, India, and Brazil within the next six months to a year. Facebook is bringing opportunity to the content creators to write legitimate content and they will pay to them.

In June Facebook launched the news tab section for the US audience. To qualify as a News partner Facebook requires publishers to pass certain integrity tests that would rely on various third party factors such as fact-checker to monitor copyright violations, sensationalist content, click-bait.

In an announcement company vice president of global news partnerships, Campbell Brown said that the Facebook News content may vary by country to country.

Facebook has over 2.7 billion monthly active users, but one of the bad things is that there are lacs of fake news articles. Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that they will prioritize more towards trustworthy news in its Newsfeed section.

We’ll work closely with news partners in each country to tailor the experience and test ways to deliver a valuable experience for people while also honouring publishers’ business models

Brown wrote

Currently, Facebook is paying to the U.S publishers for posting quality content that has original reporting, and now Facebook is focusing to grow engagement to the users and expand the Facebook News section to different countries.

Soon Facebook News section will be available to more countries and the firm will start paying the users for posting original reporting. Facebook ad business section has been devastating for the industry especially to the local news publishers.
