Priyanka Gandhi Phone Hacked Via Pegasus WhatsApp Spyware

Spyware Pegasus developed by Israel based NSO Group (Q-cyber Technologies) is again in trend as after spying on over 1400 Journalists, Human-right activists, and members of civil society, Now Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Phone hacked through the WhatsApp Spyware.

Pegasus is not normal spyware but a highly sophisticated one. The targeted victim will receive a video call and even without answering the malicious code will inject in the device and the device gets infected.

In May 2019, Citizen Lab discovered this spyware. Last week, the NSO group denied direct use of its software while WhatsApp claimed that the group is directly involved.

The Company has evidence of NSO Group’s direct involvement in the attack. The attackers used servers associated with NSO. Now, we are seeking to hold NSO accountable under U.S. state and federal laws, including the US Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.

WhatsApp further gets supported by Citizen Lab to find the victims and save them from the threats. While NSO Group Spokesperson denied the allegations and further said to take actions when their product is used for other purposes.
