Google has announced a scholarship program for Africa. The company has announced an addition of 30,000 training scholarship opportunities and also grants 1,000 Google Associate Android developer and Associate Cloud Engineer Certification.
In a statement, Google said that “Across Africa we continue to see developers who have successfully gone through the scholarship program grow their careers and also use their skills to benefit their communities”.
The training will be provided in the partnership of Google, plural sight, and Andela. The main objective of this program is to help the aspiring developer and help them to become professional developers. The Google Africa Developer Scholarship Program gives free access to Plural sight content and also supports the Andela learning community.
If someone wants to enroll in this course than the person should be above 18 years of age and a resident of an African country.
This initiative by Google will help many software developers of Africa to learn and become a professional in their field.
