WhatsApp Limits Status to 15 Seconds in India

WhatsApp is the most popular messaging app which is used by more than 2 billion users from 180 countries. WhatsApp is used by a whopping 500 Million Indians. We can put photos and videos as status on WhatsApp that lasts for 24 hours. The video status has a limit of 30 seconds but now WhatsApp has reduced the status time limit for Indian users to only 15 seconds.

As the coronavirus pandemic keeps the nation in a lockdown state till April 14. People are staying at home. In order to save the internet, WhatsApp has limited the video time limit as videos slow down the internet. Not only WhatsApp but Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube, and Facebook have also reduced the video quality to save the internet.

This change will not affect WhatsApp status views as it is only to reduce the traffic over the server.

WABetaInfo gives the information by tweeting about the new changes but the changes are temporary and will be revoked after lockdown gets over.
