Aarogya Setu app to be pre-installed on smartphones soon

COVID-19 pandemic is at its pinnacle these days. The government has made physical distancing and public hygiene inescapable accompanied by installing the Aarogya Setu app in the smartphone of every citizen.

The government has asked mobile manufacturers to pre-install the app in upcoming phones. This means from now after the lockdown closes, if anybody buys a new smartphone then the Aarogya Setu app will be pre-installed. Not only this app will be installed but also the user would be forced to register on the app — It will be mandatory to register prior to use the new smartphone.

For this purpose, our Government is ready to appoint nodal agencies and would ensure the plannings to be done perfectly.

According to a report, the Indian Government has informed, a few weeks ago before this Lockdown condition, mobile companies to manufacture smartphones with this app as an inbuilt feature. However, due to lockdown situations, the idea couldn’t be implemented.

The app is now mandatory for all central government employees and employees of companies like Zomato. The employees cannot leave their homes if the app does not mention them as ‘safe’ or ‘low risk’.

The app was released on 1st April and has noted 7.5 crores download till date with 4.6 🌟 ratings.
