The users of WhatsApp Beta program for Android are most likely experiencing new updates almost every day. WhatsApp is actively introducing new features and removing some old ones for their users.
Recently, WhatsApp Beta users have reported removal of the feature to be able to save other’s profile picture. For those who didn’t knew, WhatsApp had the feature to save your any contact’s profile picture, which reportedly is now removed in the latest update of WhatsApp Beta.
This was first spotted by an Indian-based beta tester, who tweeted to WABetaInfo and WABetaInfo confirmed it, “WhatsApp has removed the possibility to save profile pictures in latest Android beta updates and WhatsApp Business beta for iOS 2.19.60.5,” on this Wednesday.
But this update, in fact still allows you to save group icons. And also, you can still take screenshots of other’s profile picture. Hence it does actually change nothing at all for the public users. The roll-out of this update is not confirmed till now. WhatsApp is still testing feature that bars users from taking screenshots of profile pictures.
