Sony is preparing for a new killer feature in its upcoming smartphone, Xperia 1R. Sony was the first company to come up with 4K-display in a smartphone. Xperia Z5 Premium launched in September 2015 was world’s first 4K smartphone. Recently released Xperia 1 is world’s first 4K HDR OLED display phone. The successor to this flagship phone, is on its way to market.
New leaks by Sumahoinfo suggest that Sony planned to introduce 5K display in Xperia 1R. Xperia 1 came with a 6.5 inch screen and (3080 x 1664) 4K resolution. Therefore, some sources say, it may have same 6.5 inch or 6.1 inch display in it. Putting up with same screen size and more resolution (5040×2160) its gives a pixel density of 899 ppi for the phone.
With such specifications, the phone is certainly to hit the market as flagship phone. And on this rumors are that, Sony may come up with newly announced Snapdragon 855 Plus. Xperia 1R may have atleast 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage options. It may also have 3200 mAh battery, and may be considered less comparing its 5K display. Xperia 1R, also called Xperia 2 may be official around September 2019.
