COVID19 is the most trending and up to the minute topic nowadays. It has not only overblown the health of entire human making but also has affected the smartphone market worldwide. The virus and disease were first detected in Wuhan, China on December 31, 2019, and, as of the beginning of March 2020, have led to an outbreak in over 60 countries across the globe, including the US.
One of the Korean staff of Samsung electronics has been tested positive for the coronavirus. The incident took place in the city of Gumi in Southern korea. Consequently, the company has moved some of its production to Vietnam from South Korea. The incident compelled to close the factory in South Korea. Previously, in the latter half of February, 6 workers were tested positive for the same virus in Gumi which lead to temporary closure of the plant. However, it has already shifted it’s production to Vietnam since the past decade.
Inspite of this disturbance, the company is not under a huge loss as far predicted from the situation. The reason behind this is that, the company has earlier shifted its 50 % production in Vietnam. Also, Gumi factory contributes only a small portion of its total production. Nevertheless, as soon as the deadly condition stabilises, Gumi factory will run again.
