A hacker popular by the name ShinyHunters has leaked a 1.2 GB data dump of 2.28 million users of a dating website, MeetMindful.com. The data was uploaded on a hackers forum and is free to download.
ShinyHunters is the same hacker that hacked Indian Startup Juspay few weeks ago.
The data file uploaded contains the data of registered users of the dating websites. The table includes all the information that a user fills while registering for the website.
The data contains the Real Names of the users too. Not only this, Sensitive data including Facebook User Ids and Access tokens are also included in the table. With the help of access tokens, potential attackers can easily take over their Facebook account.
The leaked data contains the following sensitive data –
- Real Names
- Email Addresses
- City, State, Zip, and other Address details including latitude and longitude
- Dating Preferences
- Date of Birth
- Body Details
- IP Addresses
- Facebook User IDs
- Facebook Authentication Token
The dating website has not issued any official statement yet. Also, they haven’t notified their users about this massive leak of sensitive information.
Cybercriminals use such leaked data to map the site users with their real identities and threaten them to expose their dating profile identities among their family unless they paid some ransom.
