The leaked images which surfaced online indicate that Xiaomi appears to be making a new smart display waking on the likes of Google Nest Hub and Amazon Echo Show 8. The smart display is speculated to launch under the name as the XiaoAI Touchscreen Speaker Pro 8 or Xiaomi Smart Display Speaker Pro 8. A couple of images that leaked suggest Xiaomi adopting the design language and aesthetics of Google Nest Hub. This means that we can expect a display in a white color option paired with a large touchscreen panel at the front.
The leaked images show that the display panel will have thick bezels and a camera for video calling in front. There is also a speaker included at the back with a mesh-like covering. The box details in the images show that the display includes three passive diaphragms and powered by and Hi-Fi audio chip. The display also offers DTS audio tuning enhancing the audio experience.
Xiaomi has not made any confirmation yet, but the 3C certificate shows its development. The unannounced device got its certificate in late November. The new smart display will be priced at CNY 599 (approx. Rs. 6,100) in China. Xiaomi uses XiaoAI as a name for its smart assistant devices.
