Google Founder Larry Page is stepping down from the post of the CEO of Google’s parent company Alphabet.inc. Not only page but another founder Sergey Brin is leaving the post of Alphabet’s president.
They both further announced that Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google will be the new CEO of Alphabet as well as Google.
Alphabet and Google no longer need two CEOs and a President. Going forward, Sundar will be the CEO of both Google and Alphabet. He will be the executive responsible and accountable for leading Google, and managing Alphabet’s investment in our portfolio of Other Bets. We’ve never been ones to hold on to management roles when we think there’s a better way to run the company.

In an official blog post from both Page and Brin, it can be easily noted that Sundar Pichai is the perfect candidate to be the CEO of both Search giant Google and its parent company Alphabet.
Pichai joined Google in 2004 and in August 2015, he was appointed as Google’s CEO. In July 2017, He joined the Board of Directors of Alphabet and now in December 2019, He is the CEO of Alphabet. Sundar receives around 1,300 Crore per year and it is not yet revealed how much it will receive after becoming the CEO of both, Google and Alphabet.
In a statement, Pichai told about his excitement to be the new CEO.
