First look at Xbox Series-X games

Xbox released a gameplay reveal trailer for their next-generation Xbox console on their Youtube (though they did change the name to gameplay footage).

The video featured multiple games ranging from the likes of Yakuza: Like a Dragon to Assassins Creed Valhalla. The video also showcased the capability of the new console, showing improvements in ray-tracing lighting effects, 8K resolutions, and faster load times.

However, fans appear to be a little “SCORN”ed at the video, since it barely contained gameplay for most games shown in the video and only featured 3rd party titles, while saving the bigger more hyped titles like Halo Infinite for an event to be held later in July.

Among the 13 games shown in the video, Valhalla and Madden NFL were the most anticipated ones and neither’s gameplay was shown.

Here’s an Overview of all the games in the Video:

Assassins Creed Valhalla

Assassins Creed has been quite successful, in that it has dedicated player base and a consistent release of titles, with Valhalla, Ubisoft is taking us to age of Vikings, with of course their signature “Hidden Blades”

Madden NFL 21

There was much to Madden to see in the trailer (I didn’t see any), still Madden is Madden. And EA has announced that owners of Xbox one version of the Game will get the Xbox series X version too.

Scorn

Scorn is described as an atmospheric first-person horror game, just like most other games, there wasn’t much gameplay to be seen in the video, but the artwork looks fantastic.

Second Extinction

Apparently, Earth has Fallen (Wonder how, if we already had guns in the first place), and it now upto us to ‘reclaim earth’ and shoot down all dinosaurs we find.

Ascent

This solo/co-op Top down Action RPG is set in a futuristic Cyberpunk Dystopia, and by the looks of the gameplay it looks quite promising.

The Medium

The medium is a “next gen psychological horror game”, in which you get to play as Marianne, a medium between two Worlds. The Designers of the game say this game was made in collaboration with Akira Yamaoka, the guy who composed the music in the Silent Hill series, in regards to that, the game probably won’t fall short in terms of music.

Bright Memory: Infinite

Bright Memory is a First-Person Shooter, which features sword and parkour gameplay, the gameplay also features time altering effects and the ability to drive vehicles too, and to top it all off it looks stunning. This game was developed by a single developer, and was available on Steam Early Access, though now it will be coming on the next gen consoles.

Call of the Sea

An adventure RPG with a First-Person perspective, it features some beautiful scenery.

Dirt 5

Dirt 5 is the first next gen racing game announced, the latest instalment in the Dirt Series.

Chorus

Single Player Space Combat Shooter, the Star Fox of the next generation.

Scarlet Nexus

The next gen won’t disappoint the weebs, Play as Yuito Sumeragi, a psychokinetic warrior who wields a katana, working for the OSF to fight plant monsters. Why? Well because…. Anime.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

Sequel to the Cult Classic Vampire RPG, this game puts player in the undergrounds of a vampire society in Seattle. Players will be able to choose how they want to advance in the world, be it through brutal violence, political cunning, or… dancing?

Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Play as a new Character as a new Saga begins in the Yakuza Universe. While this game was available for previous consoles in Japan, it will hit the West with the new Consoles.
