Xiaomi Tipped to Launch Three Different Type of Foldable Smartphones in 2021. Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), confirms the development through Tweet. Also, Ross Young confirms that Xiaomi will launch three foldable smartphones with three different designs.
According to Young’s Tweet, the next foldable smartphone to launch in the market next year will likely be from Xiaomi. Young also explained about the three different designs- out-folding, in-folding, and clamshell. Also, he added that the Xiaomi out-folding smartphone will be similar to Huawei Mate X.

In fact, this not the first time we are getting news about Xiaomi foldable smartphones. Previously some reports suggest that Xiaomi has placed an order with Samsung Display and LG Display for foldable OLED panels for foldable smartphones. Also, XDA Developers spotted a folding Xiaomi Smartphone with a code name of ‘Cetus’. It was found in the code of MIUI 12 beta.
However, there are some leaks about Xiaomi foldable smartphones, not any official statements. We don’t know the exact date of launch but it is expected that Xiaomi can launch its first foldable smartphone in Q1 of 2021.
