Qualcomm announced its latest flagship processor Snapdragon 888, during the Snapdragon Tech Summit Digital 2020. Also, the most powerful SoC ever released by Qualcomm. The SoC is the successor of the previous SoC Snapdragon 865.
Snapdragon 888 is manufactured with a 5nm architecture process, which is more power-efficient and brings improvements for 5G. Performance
The Snapdragon 888 is 5 nm SoC which comes with kryo 680 and is clocked up to 2.84 GHz. Which is the same CPU present in Snapdragon 865. However, the CPU is based on ARM Cortex-X1, which gives 25% more performance and 25% more power-efficient.
The Snapdragon 888 is an octa-core CPU that comes with 4 high-efficiency ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz, 3 high-performance ARM Cortex-A78 clocked at 2.4 GHz, and 1 prime-performance ARM Cortex-X1 clocked at 2.84 GHz.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 features the new Qualcomm Spectra 580 ISP. The Spectra 580 ISP is the first which comes with a triple ISP. To conclude, Snapdragon 888 can shoot videos and capture images from three different cameras at the same time with a processing speed up to 2.7 gigapixels per second.
The new ISP also supports 10-bit HDR HEIF photo capture which means the photos can have a billion shades of colors in them. In Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, Qualcomm 660 GPU achieves its biggest performance leap yet, delivering up to 35% faster graphics rendering and 20% more power-efficient compared to the previous generation.
For the first time in mobile gaming, The Snapdragon 888 phones are going to be able to use Variable Rate Shading. It is the same tech used in next-gen pc and gaming consoles to increase frame rates. Also, the Qualcomm Game Quick Touch will increase responsiveness by up to 20%, by lowering touch latency and giving the advantage in multiplayer games.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 comes with next-gen connectivity features. The Snapdragon 888 comes with a new Qualcomm X60 Modem. The QualcommX60 Modem is a 3rd generation Modem, which enables support for 5G sub-6 carrier aggregation and mmWave to deliver the 5G speeds, up to 7.5 Gbps.
The Snapdragon 888 includes Qualcomm FastConnect 6900 mobile connectivity system with Bluetooth 5.2 and WIFI 6E. Also, with dual Bluetooth antennas, Qualcomm aptX suite, broadcast audio, and advanced modulation & coding optimizations.
