WhatsApp is currently working dark mode on beta may soon bring the feature on the google play store. WhatsApp added fingerprint lock and group privacy settings from the recent update of the app.
The instant messaging platform has been working on Dark mode for a year now and the update arrived under the new Android Beta version. According to the report from WABetaInfo, the tracker website for WhatsApp’s states that they are working on it and will be enabled in the future.
In this beta, some hidden references to the dark theme appear for the VOIP (under development). When the Dark Theme will be available, WhatsApp shows some dark elements of the VoIP screen. Another feature is ‘set by Battery Saver’, the dark mode would be activated only when the battery charges drop from below 20%. This third option is supposed to be accessible only for smartphones operating on Android 9.0 or lower versions.
For Android 10 users can enable Dark mode option on WhatsApp it would remain as the system default option on the phones. iPhone users will be able to run this feature on iOS 13users earlier there were reports that dark mode will introduce first in iPhone versions.
The feature is hidden in the new update and users can await the update to appear early next year on the Google Play Store. Apart from this WhatsApp also testing Self-destructing messages in Android Beta Version. Delete Message feature, which will automatically delete messages after a particular period set by the user and also a more stable and bug-free experience for the new version.
