iOS 13 ‘Yukon’ Unveiling on June 3.

Apple’s WorldWide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2019 will likely be hosted from June 3-7 at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California. It will take place on June 3 at 10 AM. Let’s see what we are expecting for iOS 13.

Expected Features

● Users will be able to activate the system-wide Dark Mode from either the system settings or the Control Center.
● Users will also get more functional and intuitive screenshot-editing options
● A redesigned Reminders app that will now get a a large sidebar with separate boxes for ‘Today’, ‘Scheduled’, ‘Flagged’ and ‘All’ on iPads.
● Apple is also unifying the ‘Find My Friends’ and ‘Find My iPhone’ apps under one banner, simply called ‘Find My’.
● Users may get ‘swipe-to-type’ to its native iOS keyboard app several after the feature was incorporated into Android.
● Apple is tipped to bring a number of new features to iOS 13, including mouse support for iPads.
● Improved emoji searches and Siri improvements.
● Multiple user accounts and smart Wi-Fi.

● iPad Pro (10.5), iPad Pro (11), iPad Pro (12.9, 2017 and 2018)
● iPad 2017, iPad 2018, iPad Air (2019)
● iPad mini (2019)
● iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X/XS/XS Max/XR

What will be the iOS 13 be called?

iOS 13 is codenamed as ‘Yukon’. But that’s just an internal designation – to Apple users it will only ever be branded as iOS 13.

If you’re interested, we’re told that iOS 14 is codenamed as ‘Azul’.

Tech Infinite’s Verdict

These expected features are a major upgrade to the existing iOS version from dark mode to improvement in other features. I think that these features will make the iOS 13 a good competition for Android which may lead to a larger production and sales of Apple product. What do you think of this update?
