Tesla will soon launch the limited beta version of Full-Self-Driving Cars for its investors by the end of 2019. In a call with investors on Wednesday, Musk claims that Tesla is working on track for the release.
The feature complete car will drive from your home to the specific work place without any assistance of Human being.
The smart summon parking feature embedded in the Tesla cars will make it work at lower speeds while their exclusive Auto-Pilot technology will handle the high-speed driving without intervation by drivers. Some beta testers have reported system bugs in the same as per the report of The Verge.
While Musk told about the Full Self Driving cars, he also cautioned that “It doesn’t mean like every scenario everywhere on Earth, including every corner case” that is he also is not very sure about the FSD Module whether it will be a success or merely a failure.
The FSD cars will be available for users by Mid-2020 while only selected drivers will get early access to debug the system. Morever, he stated that Drivers will need to stay engaged until the end of 2020 at the earliest.
Autonomous Taxis will soon be rolled out in some part of US as the company is planning to lead the Four-Wheeler Industry giving counters to UBER amd other rivals.
Tesla customers will get the offer to purchase the Full-Self-Driving package at a cost of $6000-$8000.
“A year from now, we’ll have over a million cars with full self-driving, software… everything.”, Elon said.
