Do you want to experience the amazing experience of being in the Air force and fly the amazing warplanes. The Indian Air Force (IAF) has launched a new game to encourage the youth to join the force. The game is called “Indian Air Force: A cut above”.
Introduction
The game lets you play combat game that includes 10 missions including the surgical strike. The game is developed by Delhi based Thyre interactive. They also Made the IAF’s previous game in 2014 called the “Guardians of the Sky”. You can fly different aircraft that IAF used.
The game is launched by Air chief Marshal B S dhanoa. He said “This new facilitation-cum-publicity pavilion and the IAF-themed mobile game have been designed to raise awareness among the youth like you, about the IAF, and inspire them to take up career in the Air Force”.
Gameplay
The game currently has 3 modes: training, single player and free flight. The multiplayer mode is stated to launched during the Air Force day in November this year. The training mode teachers you basics of flying: take off ,landing and basic combat.
The single player mode will be unlocked after completing the training. It will have different missions.
The multiplayer mode will have two modes, one is squad vs squad where two teams will compete just like the team mode in PUBG. The other one is the free for all, where the last one standing will win.
“the game has a total of 10 missions, and each mission has further three sub-missions. “The various missions, include, airstrikes, air-to-air refuelling, and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief. Also, career navigator, and augmented reality sections are available, which will give a realistic feel of the IAF’s assets to the user,” a senior IAF officer said.
Play as Abhinandan
The main protagonist or the characters has same appearance of that of wing commander Abhinandan Varthaman. Even the nametag of the character has Abhinandan written on it.
So, basically this was a tribute to the wing commander Abhinandan. He shot down Pakistan’s most advanced airplane with his old airplane in the balakot airstrike.
Although, you can also customise the appearance and also put your photo on the character.
So, the “Indian Air force: A cut above” is available on iOS and Android for free. The game is about 330mb on Android and 1.1 GB on iOS. You can download it for Android from here and for iOS from here.
