Sony Xperia 10 III-First 5G Mid-Ranger With Snapdragon 690 Chipset
Sony is coming up with its first mid-ranger 5G smartphone-the Xperia 10 III, as per the recent claims. In addition, the new Xperia 10 III will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 chipset. Sony is yet to confirm the launch date of the new phone. Although, people expect the new phone to launch next year (in 2021).
Earlier, the company had canceled the Sony Xperia 10 II Plus. Xperia 10 II was canceled due to the alleged reason for keeping the main focus on 5G. But, this confirms that a plus model from Xperia cannot be expected this year from Sony. There have also been reports claiming the launch of two new smartphones from Sony. One of the phones will assuredly be the next Sony Xperia 1 flagship. It will come with SD 875 chipset. The other phone will come with SD 690 chipset. Further, the next Sony Xperia 5 will supposedly launch in the second half of 2021 and will be similar to the Xperia 5 II.
Specifications
The chipset of the new Sony Xperia 10 III will have an 8nm Samsung process. Additionally, it has two Cortex-A77 derived big cores and six A55-based little cores. The phone will have a Full HD+ display and will come with a 120H refresh rate. The phone’s X51 modem supports a 2.5 Gbps downlink over a sub-6 5G connection and also 1.2 Gbps over LTE.
The phone will presumably have more than 4 cameras in the rear camera setup. If the rumors are true about the rear camera setup, it is a major upgrade from the consistent triple camera setup of the Xperia 10 series by Sony. One can expect Sony to lunch Xperia 1 III, 10 III, and L5 by the end of February 2021.
