WhatsApp down, users unable to send Photos, Gifs and videos

One of the most popular social media messaging platform WhatsApp was down in some regions of the world. A large number of users reported that they were having trouble in sending images, videos, and Gifs.

However messaging service is still active throughout this period. As per the downdetector.in WhatsApp user started reporting about the issue after 4:00 pm and by 5:00 pm as per the outrage map

users in the region of India, Brazil, and parts of the Middle-East including UAE were facing the issue.

But now WhatsApp is back online and users are able to send and receive photos, videos, and Gifs.

Last year also Facebook’s owned services i.e. Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram received complaints from users that they were unable to send or upload videos and photos. The company tweeted that they were working to fix it.

Later on, facebook’s spokesperson said that the issue was due to the routine maintenance work which ended up continuing a bug that created the problem.

Facebook has yet not commented about this outrage situation in 2020.

Looks like WhatsApp media sharing is down. Reboot my router twice thinking got a problem in my internet connection. poor me! Anyone facing the same issue? Or it is just me !!!
