Facebook is working on its very new operating system and the goal is very clear that is to reduce the dependency on Google’s OS Android. Well, Facebook doesn’t want that its hardware like Oculus, AR glasses, and Portal devices works on the Android operating system.
As per the report of The Information, The Operating system will be built from scratch and it will be very helpful to the very own products of Facebook. It will help to dig more social interaction with loss of privacy to a third-party. It is funny to hear that we might trust Facebook on it as in 2019, Facebook data breaches are hot in the air.
The OS project is being led by Mark Lucovsky, a former Microsoft engineer who co-authored the Windows NT operating system. Not only he worked with Microsoft but also he served Google as the technical director for Google’s Ajax technologies.

The new OS will serve the future hardware projects of Google including AR and VR devices. Facebook will make its second-generation models including smart-displays to work on it.
Facebook will make its OS beneficial by earning advertising revenue as well as royalties from the devices that will use its OS. Facebook wants to create its own unique identity and space as it will give soul to the new Era’s IoT devices. Facebook previously worked on a secret project “Oxygen circa 2013” that aims to supply Android apps outside from the play store and that too worked with HTC on the Facebook Phone project.
We really want to make sure the next generation has space for us. We don’t think we can trust the marketplace or competitors to ensure that’s the case. And so we’re gonna do it ourselves.

The new OS will generate heat in the market. Apple as well as Google will start working to stop the rivals or to gain royalties even after the launch of Facebook’s OS. Zuckerberg is working on a number of projects that too out-of-the-box one. The thing that we don’t like about Zuck is his nature to kill privacy for own benefits while on the other side of the coin, Zuck is working to change the world with many possibilities.
