Indian Version of Tiktok, The Mitron App is in privacy concern. The application has gained quick popularity during the pandemic and also after the TikTok vs youtube battle. The application crossed over 1 million downloads on the play store. Recently a user discovered a vulnerability that could allow an attacker to compromise accounts and send a message without the user’s concern.
The Indian owned Mitron App Scripts are sold by a Pakistani Software Development Company Qboxus.
Yet, the current owner of the app is unknown as the developer email is not responding while the server is blank too regarding any contact information. The unpatched vulnerability can hack any Mitron Account. Not only this, There is no Privacy Policy and terms of services from the app developer.
By Exploiting the vulnerability of the application, a hacker could send a message on behalf of the victim which may lead to miscommunication. It was first reported by cybersecurity experts at Rahul Kankrale (Gadget 360). He also uploaded a video that is uploaded.
