Tinder to enable Video Calls by May End

Tinder will soon get a video call feature. The company said the feature will be launched by the end of May 2020. No more information is provided by the company. The security policies are unclear. Abuse and Harassment policies of the video chat feature will be announced with the launch of the feature. To reduce the chances of sexual harassment Tinder may also look for an offensive image detection system. Being clear the feature will be on one video call feature. These developments were made amid COVID 19 outbreak to ensure customer satisfaction.

We know that singles are adjusting their behaviours, and many are shifting to having dates virtually via phone or video.”

This may also be considered as a marketing move since the feature will outlast other dating apps with this exclusive experience. This will also act as a verification tool for users to know who they’re talking to. 

Earlier during lockdown period tinder also announced a new passport feature for its premium users.
