Taiwanese Chipmaker company, MediaTek has recently unveiled its first 5G System-on-chips in the form of Dimensity 1000 5G. The 7nm chip is packed with advanced technologies offering Multimedia, Artificial Intelligence, imaging innovations.
The 7nm compact design provides a powerful solution for connectivity. It provides multimode connectivity to every cellular network from 2G to 5G. Not only this, it offers Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1+ standards too.

The 5G SoC supports two carrier aggregation (2CC CA). It got 4.7Gbps downlink and 2.5Gbps uplink speed over 6 sub-GHz networks. It will come up with four ARM Cortex-A77 cores operating at up to 2.6 GHz. Also, four power-efficient Arm Cortex-A55 cores operating at up to 2.0GHz.
The chipset is also the world’s first to pack Arm Mali-G77 GPU to enable seamless streaming and gaming at 5G speeds. We chose the name Dimensity to highlight how our 5G solutions are driving new waves of innovation and experiences, much like the fabled fifth dimension. The 5G Chipset supports an 80MP camera up to 24 frames per second and multi-camera support like a 32+16MP camera. The APU supports advanced AI for autofocus, auto white balance, auto exposure, noise reduction, and HDR.
The world’s first multi-frame video HDR capability comes to reality with this chip that supports facial detection too. It also supports full HD+ displays. The processor will come in Q1,2020 in Asia, North-America, and Europe.
