Facebook Unveiled New Logo to Set Re-Branding Standards

Facebook changed its logo today to represent itself as the parent company to Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus. The logo is a GIF introducing just Facebook in different colors. It uses blue for Facebook, Green for WhatsApp and Pink gradient for Instagram.

The logo is not still appeared on Facebook products but will soon be deployed for users. The company initially work on changing the name of its products by adding “by Facebook” at the end. Being not limited to the Social Networking site, it is a new attempt by Facebook to establish itself among people as the parent brand.

The new logo uses custom typography and is “designed for clarity,” with the goal of creating a “visual distinction between the company and app.” The goal of including “from Facebook” is to let people know that its apps have “shared infrastructure” and rely on many of the same teams.

In an attempt to let people know which company product they use and by that they start liking Facebook as a social network more. It will put a “brand tax” on other products further justified by Facebook.
